A Mediterranean Large Kitchen for A Gourmet Chef

We had the privilege of working with a serious home chef in Harford County, Maryland who wanted to create a luxuriously elegant, large kitchen that could accommodate her gourmet cooking and entertaining. The homeowners wanted to include the latest in technology while maintaining the warmth and coziness of home. Since the family entertains on a large scale, we needed to open the design discussions to using all different kinds of appliances and include each chef’s unique perspective into the final design. Every amenity they desired was included in the redesign.

 

 

 

Pantry Inserts and Adequate Refrigeration is Key for Kitchen Organization

A very organized kitchen is easy to maintain when you get the storage design right. The inside “guts” of the cabinetry should be given the same consideration as the outer design aesthetic of the cabinetry. This kitchen’s cooking triangle has an enormous amount of storage space with flawless, well- designed drawer configurations. This kitchen has almost every organizer insert there is. If there was an inch available, we used it to perfect the design. No space is wasted. In addition, The huge countertop gives the family plenty of room to work together when prepping meals and cooking for parties.

 

 

Best Refrigerator and Freezer Configuration

This kitchen refrigeration design is so perfect for a family that needs vast amounts of fresh food on hand ready to go. We used over-sized 48″ Sub-Zero side-by-side refrigerator and paneled it to look like an armoire.

Daniel has great knowledge of all types of products that go into designing a great kitchen. His showroom also has an amazing selection and price ranges. Daniel is a great designer and was able to make a masterpiece out of my disorganized and impractical kitchen, and all this on a relatively low budget! He also helped me to purchase appliances at great prices.


I used the contractor he suggested, Joe Suess, who was also super professional and knowledgeable. I could not asked for a better contractor to do this job. My kitchen was done in 2.5 weeks with no delays! What is most important is that Daniel was also available throughout the entire project to answer any questions or solve any problems that came up. In fact, my cabinet maker had pull-out shelves on back-order for a long time, and Daniel was in frequent communications with them until they shipped the shelves.

We ended up redoing one of them with body sprays shower combo, granite floors and glass mosaic tiles. The guest bathroom is a very special red paint with gold specks. Basically, everything looks very professionally done. I can say that he did a wonderful job. It was well worth the time and money.
I guess the good thing about hiring Daniel was his vision and his meticulous attention to detail in execution. I would definitely recommend him and hire him again if I wanted to do another project.

We LOVE this firm! Because of COVID we waited 7 months with no dishwasher and an infuriatingly old kitchen. When we decided enough is enough we actually needed the kitchen turned over in record time. I believe it was 3 weeks from selection to complete installation. Our friends said he would promise but could never deliver on that timetable, that we weren't accounting for things gone wrong, a contractor that wouldn't show up, parts that were ordered wrong/incompletely. NOT A BIT OF IT. The day he said he would start he did, and the day he said he would finish he did. I don't have a good sense of design so Daniel gently made suggestions, and he seemed intuitively to know what i would like, what would go together, what would look new and fresh without looking glitzy or boring. We got loads of new cabinets, (thank God for drawers - finally!) And quartz countertops and new sinks and accessories and a new dishwasher. And new handles for what remained, too, to pull it all together. He was fun, and funny, and self-effacing, and totally professional, knowledgeable, and happy to please, and we felt very confident with him from the beginning. Never an issue of up-selling or selling us beyond our price range. Just an all around happy, excited experience. Excellent range of products in the showroom, which he opened just for us, during COVID. The contractor was neat, personable, on time, perfect installation.
